6 Signs You’re Going to Hit $100k This Year (Keep Going)

Today I want to talk to those of you who are in the phase of building your online business… you’re showing up, creating, selling, trying new things, feeling like you’re throwing spaghetti at the wall, and wondering if it’s actually going to work for you. If that is you, then this is for you.

I want to share something that I wish someone had told me earlier: that it’s already all happening for you. Hitting your first $100,000 year almost never feels like a huge moment when one day you wake up and everything is different. It’s at times messy, confusing, imperfect, and honestly it feels like what you’re probably doing now.

Which is why a lot of people don’t realize they’re about to have a $100k year until after it happens.

And that was exactly my experience.

When I first hit six figures in my business, I wasn’t tracking obsessively. I wasn’t strategizing around that number. I was just in motion. I was creating, selling, showing up, refining offers, talking to my audience, building funnels, systems, testing things, and staying visible. I was in flow.

I wasn’t over thinking and I wasn’t stuck in paralysis by analysis.

And it wasn’t until later when my virtual assistant pinged me when I actually looked at the numbers, and I was like oh! That happened.

So today I want to share six signs that you’re on track for a $100k year, even if your current income doesn’t reflect that yet. Because income often lags behind behavior. And the thoughts and behaviors that lead to six figures usually show up before the revenue does.

If you’re new here, hi I’m Danielle. I’m a content creator and online business coach. I help creators and aspiring entrepreneurs build and scale their own online businesses, and have helped many of my clients and students hit their first six figures online

Let’s get into the signs.

Sign 1: You’re Taking Consistent Action (Even When It’s Not Perfect)

One of the biggest indicators that someone is heading toward a $100k year is consistency. Many people think it’s about perfection or virality or massive launches, but it’s not. It’s consistency. You’re showing up regularly. You’re posting, emailing, selling, refining, testing, and continuing even when results feel slow.

This was absolutely true for me in my early business years. I wasn’t always confident. I didn’t always know exactly what I was doing. But I kept moving. I kept posting content. I kept creating offers. I kept talking about what I did. And taking messy, imperfect action And over time, that visibility compounded. Progress over Perfection.

What most people don’t see is that six-figure years are usually built on hundreds of small actions that feel insignificant in the moment. A post here. A DM conversation there. A tweak to an offer. An email sent. A new idea tested. And suddenly, those actions stack.

If you’re someone who keeps showing up even when it feels messy, that’s a very strong sign you’re building momentum.

Sign 2: You Have (or Are Building) a Clear Offer

Another major sign is that you’re no longer just creating content for the sake of content. You either already sell something or you’re actively building what you sell, and the numbers make sense. This is huge. Because income comes from offers, not just audience.

If you don’t have anything to sell and you’re just hoping $100,000 enters your bank account this year, then it’s probably not going to happen.

But if you are creating a $100 offer and you have the system to get 1000 signed up, or if you have a $1000 offer and you are on track to get 100 people signed up, then the numbers make sense.

I see this with clients all the time. There’s a phase where someone is just sharing and learning and experimenting and realizing that the efforts don’t align with the income. Then there’s a shift where they start thinking, what exactly am I helping people with? What transformation am I selling? How do I make more money from this and have full control over my income streams?

That shift often happens right before income growth.

For me, this looked like packaging what I knew into digital products and coaching and consulting outside of just content creation. And once you start doing that, even imperfectly, your business changes trajectory.

If you’re refining an offer, adjusting pricing, testing positioning, or creating something that you know your audience needs, then you’re on track.

Sign 3: People Are Paying Attention to You

Sign number 3 is that people are paying attention to you and you see the increase in engagement. You see more comments, more likes, more questions, more email replies or DMs.

This attention phase is a precursor to massive revenue.

So if you’re noticing that people are paying attention to you, even if sales aren’t consistent yet, that’s a big sign.

I remember very clearly the period before my income jumped. I was getting more messages and more questions. People were starting to associate me with certain topics and as an authority.

You never know who is watching! Some people message you months after silently binging your content.

And then gradually, that attention converted.

When I work with clients now, I see this pattern constantly. There’s a moment where the audience becomes warmer. And then offers start landing.

So attention is leading data. Revenue is lagging data.

Sign 4: You’re Thinking Like a Business Owner Now

This one is subtle but powerful and you might not even realize it yourself until after the fact. But subconsciously you start thinking differently. You’re not just asking what should I post. You’re asking how do I create a content system that connects to my offer. You’re thinking about pricing, positioning, funnels, messaging, growth.

And that’s the biggest thing, you are focusing on growth instead of questioning why it’s not happening.

You begin making decisions like someone who expects this to work. And that expectation changes behavior.

If you’re thinking strategically about your business instead of treating it like a hobby, that’s a very strong indicator of future income growth.

Sign 5: You’re Iterating Instead of Quitting

One of the biggest differences between people who hit $100k and people who don’t is persistence with refinement. They don’t restart endlessly, instead they adjust when things aren’t optimized.

If you have a foundational belief that you’re not capable or confident, you’ll give up at the slightest inconvenience. But if you know you are destined for all the money you desire, you’ll change your messaging or tweak offers and try again and improve. You don’t get discouraged and you don’t take actions from a place of fear.

My early offers were not perfect and honestly they still aren’t as the state of the world is constantly changing. But I am constantly learning. My messaging evolved drastically. My funnels improved. And I didn’t disappear. I stayed in the process.

And this is what I see with clients who hit $100k. They launch, learn, refine, and continue. They don’t interpret feedback as failure. They interpret it as direction.

If you’re still here and adjusting, that resilience is one of the strongest predictors of success.

Sign 6: You Feel the Shift (Even If It’s Subtle)

This is the intuitive one. There’s often a moment before income catches up where you internally know you’re closer. You stop questioning when is it going to happen and all this negative forceful energy like why isn’t it happening, and instead you just know that it will happen and your actions follow. You know that success is inevitable so you take yourself more seriously and you feel more grounded in what you’re building.

You are moving like someone who expects results.

Identity shifts often precede income shifts.

Working with clients, I see this pattern repeatedly. There’s a point where they move from hoping this works to knowing they’re building something real. And not long after, income follows.

If you feel that shift, trust it and keep going.

My $100k Year Happened While I Was in Flow

I want to come back to this because honestly my first $100k year didn’t feel dramatic in the moment. It felt like consistent work and lots of self-doubt at times. But I always bounced back and kept going.

My lifestyle honestly didn’t change that much, I didn’t feel like I all of a sudden achieved all my life goals. And to be honest, it’s kind of a moving goal post because there’s always the next milestone.

That’s why I want you to understand that the path to $100k is better than the destination. So if you’re in this phase, have fun with it! You’re in a great place and closer than you think.
