Hello my loves. I have such an amazing, powerful episode for you today. I just got off a private coaching call with one of my dear clients. We started the session with a visualization exercise to call in our higher self and embody our higher self. And both of us, we ended the call with so much energy, so much inspiration, and immediately I was like, I need to channel all of this into this week’s podcast episode for you all.

And today I am going to be sharing five Life Hacks for Success because when you have the clarity in knowing what it is you want to achieve and the unwavering confidence that you’re going to get there, success is inevitable. And have you ever looked at certain individuals where they just always seem to be getting what they want in life? Have you ever wondered what is it that makes someone so successful and for others to just seem to never have things their way?

I’ve seen members of the Wonderlover community, they’ll join the community thinking that whatever they wanna achieve is not possible, that they’re just not wired a certain way for success. But after a few months after learning and embodying what I’m going to be sharing with you in this episode, you’re going to realize that you have what it takes to be successful.

Hack 1 : Don’t Tell Plans, Show Results

The first hack is don’t tell people of your plans. Show them your results. I’ve embodied this for almost all of my life, and I think it’s because of my Chinese background. In Chinese culture, it’s very common to be humble, not talkative, and just put your head down and do the work instead of telling people your plans.

It’s all about taking action. And a funny story about this, when I was in preschool, so by the age of four, I had learned my times tables up to nine times nine in Chinese. By the age of six, I had memorized every bone and every muscle, like the scientific names of every bone and muscle in the human body. I grew up in a low income immigrant community with other Asian American immigrants, and it was highly, highly competitive externally. All of these accomplishments like memorization and piano competitions and concerts externally, they were all quote unquote successes to the eyes of adults and educators.

But what it took to get there were hours and hours of studying and putting in the time and practice and work to get those results. And I never told people when I was going to practice piano or when I was going to do my homework or when I was going to study. I knew that in order to get those results, it required lots of discipline and persistence and action. Fast forward to today, same thing applies. You do not need to tell people when you are going to work what you are doing for work, but you need to be putting in the time and action to be successful.

And the great news is you don’t need to tell people your plans, just show them your results. This one thing is going to lift so much burden off of your shoulders because no one else is responsible except you. You are fully in control of what you get to do with your time and with your life. I came across this quote on Instagram the other day, and I just think it’s so applicable. Buy land in secret, build the house in secret, then do the housewarming party with publicity. Let your haters only see your reality, never your vision, or you will have division in a game of chess. You don’t speak, you just act.

The only time that you ever speak when playing chess is to say, checkmate life is like chess. Don’t broadcast your intentions. Act quietly. Keep achieving your achievements are your checkmate. I want you to be doing the same with your intentions and your goals. Keep them to yourself, but do the work behind the scenes. We’ve seen so many members of the Digital Nomad Society or the Wanderlover Business Academy. We don’t hear from them on Instagram or in the communities for a few weeks. And some of us are wondering like, oh, where did you go? What did you do? And bam, one day they’re like, I just got featured in Forbes. I just signed my first four figure client. Those are all the successes, but their work behind the scenes, that’s what got them there. Don’t tell people your plans, just show them your results.

Hack 2: Develop A Focus Routine

The next hack for success that I have for you is to develop a routine for instant focus. Personally as a digital nomad, working from around the world rags and I counted the other day, it is currently May. And between January and May, I had stayed in 15 different villas, hotels, Airbnbs around the world. I don’t personally have a base, and so I move a lot.

And what I don’t let distract me is not being able to get into my full focus flow. We have lots and lots of full-time travelers and nomads in our communities in I recommend the same exact thing. Develop your own routine so that you are instantly focused in your business as if you had your own office that you take with you around the world. (I have a whole blog on all of the productivity tips I use while travelling full time.) You don’t need to be in one place to develop this type of focus. You can get it yourself. So personally for me, that looks like traveling with my backpack, with my passion planner, my laptop, my laptop stand, my microphone, my apple mouse, my mouse pad.

I have my workstation, I’ll even have my crystals. And sometimes I’ll have like a candle to really set the intention for full focus. And then I know as soon as I open up my laptop, I have my Google calendar, I have my clickup dashboard, I have my content calendar. It’s very, very clear what the steps are to immediately pick up from where I left off the day before or a few days before. It’s really easy for me to get back on track. Do you have the same system for yourself? Do you have your own routine that works for you that lets you instantly focus maybe if you get distracted really easily?

Do you have the tools necessary to keep you from those distractions? I’ve mentioned in previous episodes, I use Facebook Feed Eradicator so that every time I open up Google Chrome on my laptop, no posts show in my Facebook feed. I have apps on my phone to limit the number of distractions I get when I am working. I know that anytime I need to focus, all I have to do is take out my backpack and open up my laptop and I know exactly what to do. Develop that for yourself and you’re gonna find so much freedom in being able to travel wherever you want. But knowing that it doesn’t come at a productivity expense.

Some people when they first pursue this full-time traveling nomad lifestyle, it’s difficult. But with trial and error and setting the intention to develop your own routine for instant focus, it’s gonna serve you so much better in the long run. ’cause you’re not confined to one space or one workflow. We’ve had some members in the community share that every single morning they go to the gym or they go for a walk or they go for a run moving their body is non-negotiable. Parents in the community will oftentimes say that they set an alarm for 5:00 AM so that they have a full hour or two to really focus and be productive, and that works for them.

One of my clients has what she named her productivity headphones. So anytime the headphones come out, she knows she’s going to be super productive and she sets that intention. This is going to look different for everyone. Some people do really well with lots and lots of routine. Others not so much, but they need that trigger. So whatever it is that works for you, set the intention that you’re going to develop it and you’re going to implement it immediately when needed.

Hack 3: Don’t Dwell On The Negatives

The third hack for success is to not dwell on anything negative in your life. Worrying is praying for what you don’t want! Instead, focus on the positive and keep moving forward. This is something that I’ve been practicing for years and years because where attention goes, energy flows. Never allow yourself to feel disappointed, never allow yourself to have the baseline of negativity and disappointment. And this doesn’t mean that you’re not allowed to feel sad. This doesn’t mean that you’re not allowed to be upset when something upsetting happens. Of course, you’re going to have those immediate reactions that are normally formed from habit, but the baseline should always be you’re going to bring it back to positivity and focusing on what it is that you want to manifest into your life.

So if you continue dwelling on what you don’t want or the disappointment, that’s what you’re going to attract in. So give yourself time to cry it out. Give yourself time to maybe dwell for however long you need, but know that ultimately you want to be bringing it back. And what you’ll find is that over time, it takes less and less time for you to bounce back and something else that you will realize. And what I’ve realized is that if you don’t get something at a certain time. It only means that bigger and better things are coming your way. You can choose to continue feeling negativity and disappointment, but hold to your faith that quote unquote failure is just what you perceive to be true in the moment.

But hold to your faith that bigger and better things are coming your way and that the best is always, always yet to come. Have you ever experienced what you thought was a failure? But then over time in hindsight, you realize that that was actually the best thing that could have happened to you, right? Have you ever gone through anything in life where you’re like, wow, that’s why it happened? And started to believe that everything happens for a reason. Personally, I’ve gone through so many instances of that where I thought people came into my life for the most horrible reasons, but then I learned the most valuable lessons from them.

And again, this doesn’t mean that you’re not allowed to feel sad, but you should always have that baseline be positivity. So for instance, as many of you may know, I recently went through a miscarriage and a lot of people, as they’re finding out and listening to my miscarriage podcast episode, they’ll reach out and be like, I am so sorry. Like I can’t imagine what you’re going through. And honestly, guys, I am completely fine. I’ve gone back to that baseline of it’s only going to happen better than I could have ever imagined. I let myself grieve and I gave myself the healing I needed, and now I’m back to that baseline of I am going to focus on this brighter, bigger future than I could have ever imagined.

Instead of dwelling on the disappointment or how things could have been or should have been or would have been, there is really no point in that. It’s not always the easiest to do, but over time, as you train yourself, it gets easier and easier and it really just sets you up for so much success.

Hack 4: Focus Is Where Your Attention Goes

The fourth hack I want to share is focus. So your focus is where your attention goes. And so I want you to focus on continuously every single day. Focus on bettering yourself and working towards your goal.

When you see yourself get distracted, bring it back. When you catch yourself getting shiny object syndrome, bring your focus back to your goals. Of course, this is going to be hard for some of you who never had to kind of like do this self-audit, but when you find yourself getting distracted, make sure your focus is on what is important for my clients and students. Of course, we are always focusing on serving our customers, serving our clients, making money, growing our business. When we get distracted by another business model or another plan, we make sure to focus on our plan for the year and bring it back to what we decided in January.

Outside of your business, you could be focusing on bettering your relationship with your partner or bettering your relationships with your friends or bettering your relationship with food, your health, focusing on what it takes to make yourself better physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. if you are focusing on the wrong things. It’s only going to exponentially grow in your life. So in order to be successful, we need to make sure our focus is going towards what’s going to get us to our goals. Which brings me to my last hack for success. And this is the most powerful one of them all.

Hack 5: ACTUALLY Believe In Yourself

And that is for you to know and fully 110% believe in yourself that achieving your goals is inevitable, that it is all coming your way already and that success is already yours. This is what we did in our visualization exercise. During private coaching, we embodied and we fully visualized that we already had everything. Everything in our lives that we want.

If you go back to my podcast episode of how to Attract Your Perfect Partner As a Digital Nomad, you will know that I defined the exact characteristics of what I wanted. I knew that I wanted a location independent partner, and I wasn’t going to settle for anything less. Even though my parents, my mom sat me down and was like, you need to settle down. I said no, because I knew exactly what I wanted and I knew it was already coming my way. This also looks like If. you go back onto my blog. In 2017, I published when I quit my corporate job and I included in a disclaimer, the blog post is called Why I Quit my Corporate Job.

And the disclaimer says, I don’t have a million dollars saved up in the bank and I’m not rich yet. I was not born with the voice of an angel that can make me an overnight celebrity singing sensation. But what I do have is absolute confidence in my ability to learn and unwavering excitement for the future. And you can have it too, this unwavering confidence that you are already going to get what you want. So at that time in 2017, I hadn’t worked with any hotels, I didn’t have any travel tourism clients, I didn’t have any customers or passive income or recurring revenue, and I didn’t have tens of thousands of dollars coming in from my business every month.

But I knew that that is what I wanted and I knew it was all coming my way to find exactly what you are calling in and then visualize everything as being yours already. Imagine everything is in front of you. Feel what it feels like to achieve that level of success. Fully embody who you need to be and learn from those who can get you there. if you would like to build your most successful business and be the most successful version of yourself. I invite you to apply for private coaching or check out the resources on the Wander Lover website.

I cannot wait for you to fast track your success and for your future to unfold better than you could have ever imagined. See you in the next episode. My loves have an amazing week.
