My Best Wedding Hack: Digital Wedding Guest Book with GUESTPIX

I am officially a 90-day fiancée! In this blog post, I’ll be sharing one of my best wedding hacks that I had: a digital wedding guest book using GUESTPIX.

Ragz and I got engaged on June 21, 2023 on my 30th birthday. On September 20, 2023, Ragz and I got married in Praze-an-Beeble, Cornwall, England, which meant the whole wedding planning process took just under 3 months!

Planning a Wedding in 90 Days

We went to the registrar office in the morning and celebrated at Ragz’ family home in the evening. It was truly a magical wedding as my friends and family flew over from New York, and our other friends from all over the world in such short notice, and were all able to meet Ragz’ parents for the first time.

Because everything happened so fast, I had to make sure every detail was intentional and efficient. I really had no time to be indecisive, or to be chatting to a million different vendors. I did not use a wedding planner so my time and energy was of utmost importance!

Intentions for Our Wedding

I knew I wanted as much content from my wedding as possible, but had no idea at first how to collect content effectively. As Ragz and I are both digital nomads, traveling with a physical guestbook just wasn’t practical for us, but we wanted something that would house all our memories from our special day.

From my past experience at friends’ weddings, I knew the photo sharing process after the event can be a headache. Either it requires everyone to be together so Airdrop works, or it requires everyone to be part of a shared album. However, not everyone has the same type of phones, and not everyone is friends with each other.

But we knew we wanted to crowdsource our photos and videos from the evening. So when I learned about GUESTPIX, I knew it was an immediate HELL YES that I had to have at my wedding.

What is GUESTPIX?

GUESTPIX is a digital photo collection platform designed to make photo and video collection a breeze for both the host and guest. It provides an easily transferable way for guests to share their best content through a custom QR code or URL.

Guests simply scan a QR code and they can select all their favorite photos and videos from their phone or device, which is then immediately uploaded to the event guest book. Content can be uploaded from any device – Apple, Android, Laptops & Desktops, and doesn’t require an app or registration or needing phone numbers or email addresses.

Plus you have the ability to customize settings, such as allowing guests to see other uploads, allowing everyone to download, and allowing guests to record video messages in the guestbook.

All content is available to download in a zip file in original resolution, which is amazing because nothing is compressed and you don’t lose quality.

To get your own custom QR code, link and gallery, you simply purchase from the different packages depending on the number of guests you will have at your wedding. The pricing is SUPER reasonable and the whole process takes less than 5 minutes to set up.

Encouraging Guests to Take Photos and Videos

To make sure all our guests took as many photos and videos as possible, we printed out these cute I Spy cards that we placed around the garden and marquee.

Here is what we asked people to take photos of:

♥   YUMMY FOOD
♥   BEST DRESSED
♥   GROUP PHOTO
♥.  A HAPPY COUPLE
♥   A SWEET MOMENT
♥   PHOTO WITH DANI
♥   PHOTO WITH RAGZ
♥   YOUR FAVORITE DECORATION
♥   PHOTO WITH A NEW FRIEND
♥   BRIDE AND GROOM LAUGHING
♥   TRANSATLANTIC (EX. BRIT & AMERICAN)
♥   VIDEO MESSAGE TO BRIDE AND GROOM
♥   PHOTO OF YOU!

We printed out QR codes on business cards for everyone to take home, which we also included in little goodie bags full of Chinese and British candies.

Canva Templates

Guestpix provides a range of editable Canva templates that you can use to customize your cards, which I found really helpful. I then sent the designs to a printing company that shipped the final cards to my doorstep.

Special Takeaways

It’s so special to be able to see our day through our guests’ eyes, because the raw, unfiltered moments are often the best ones. You can see your event from all different angles, and see beautiful smiles on people’s faces that you may have missed.

All the guests also loved being able to see and download other photos and videos from the digital guestbook after the event. My mother-in-law and I have been checking every day for new content which brings back memories of the perfect day.

Conclusion

I’m obsessed with this virtual guestbook and love having these memories forever! Check out GUESTPIX.com to have GUESTPIX at your wedding, or share this blog post with someone who needs it at theirs.

This is a sponsored post, but all opinions are my own as I was ready to purchase GUESTPIX before deciding to reach out 🙂
