Tirta Gangga Water Palace Bali: The Complete Guide

Want to visit and learn about Tirta Gangga Water Palace? I’ve got you covered!

After living in Bali for a few years, I’ve visited Tirta Gangga three times, and every time has been a magical experience. It’s my favorite bali water temple.

If you are visiting Bali, you’ll definitely want to visit Tirta Gangga for a tour of the beautiful, spiritual area and the best photo opportunity!

I’ll be sharing all you need to know for the perfect visit to Tirta Gangga Water Palace Bali in this guide.

Where is Tirta Gangga?

Tirta Gangga Water Temple is located in Karangasem, East Bali, Indonesia, around 2 hours east of Ubud and 30 minutes from Amed.

This area is jungly and has incredible views of Mount Agung. It’s one of my favorite areas of Bali!

How to get to Tirta Gangga?

You can get to Tirta Gangga on a scooter or by car.

If you know how to drive a scooter and are staying in Ubud, Canggu, Seminyak, or Kuta, I recommend getting on your bike and driving here.

Otherwise, I recommend hiring a private driver so you can get picked up and dropped off from Ubud or Canggu area.

When you book a private driver, you get:

  • Full customization of your day itinerary
  • Round trip transportation with A/C
  • An English speaking guide
  • Water and snacks

I recommend combining Tirta Gangga with Pura Lempuyang aka Gates of Heaven Temple.
