I am heading back to Europe later this month to start European Summer, so today we’re diving into the best party cities in Europe!

Summer is my favorite time of year and I personally love spending it in Europe, in the Mediterranean especially.

I’ve definitely done my fair share of partying in Europe, starting from when I first studied abroad in Italy to now in my thirties. I’m going back every single year doing a mix of sightseeing and of course partying.

If you are planning a birthday trip or a bachelorette party, whether you’re looking for other people to party with, whether you want to chill at an amazing beach club with your friends, this list is for you!

Ibiza, Spain

First on our list is somewhere I went to first when I was 20 years old, then back when I was 25 and most recently for my 30th birthday.

It is known as the party capital of the world and my favorite place to party in Europe is Ibiza, Spain.

Ibiza has been central to the party scene for decades. It is located in the Mediterranean off the coast of Spain.

The season starts in mid-May and ends in September, the island has some of the biggest and best clubs in the world and they are constantly bringing in huge DJs from around the world. Many of these DJs have residencies.

The parties actually go until 7:00 AM and then the after party start at like 8:00 AM. The Spanish really know how to party!

I always forget that their night doesn’t start until like 2:00 AM, they have tapas around the time where I would have dinner, then they have their dinner at like 10 or 11 and then they go out really late. I love it.

The beaches there are stunning and I love that there are other things to do on the island as well. You can go hiking, you can go on boats, you can visit like nearby islands like Formentera, you can watch sunset in San Antonio.

It is such a fun time and every time I’ve been back there’s been something that I discover about the island and new things that I like to do.

There are accommodations of all levels. When I first went when I was 20, I stayed at a hostel, then when I went back when I was 25, I stayed at an Airbnb, and most recently we stayed at an all-inclusive resort.

There are luxury villas on the island so you can really find it all and there’s something for everyone.

That is why Ibiza is going to be my number one choice and I highly recommend you visiting.

As a side note, you can also hop over to the islands of Mallorca and Menorca nearby. I’ve never personally done so, but I know many people who rave about it. So that’s also an option for you.

Sidenote: Join the Business Academy

I just have to stop myself here and remind myself how freaking amazing it is that I am recording this episode on a remote little surf island in Indonesia and I get to talk about my favorite party cities in Europe as my job.

I get to speak to all of you and just list out my favorite party cities and have it be a part of my business.

It’s incredible, just this type of lifestyle, this type of work, it is so aligned and it is so fun. I never wake up thinking, oh, I don’t want to go to work because I don’t have to go to work, and the work that I do get to do I enjoy doing.

If you want to learn how to set this up for yourself, how you can create an online business and make money online working from wherever in the world, even if you wanna just start a side hustle, check out the Business Academy.

Doors are open for the rest of the month! If starting an online business so that you’re opening up the opportunity to do something similar, if this is something that resonates with you, you can learn more here.

Mykonos, Greece

It is a beautiful island known for its beach parties and white buildings and streets.

I think there’s like a little rivalry between Mykonos and Ibiza. I remember people arguing which one is better? If you’re like a local resident or if you’re a regular goer to Mykonos, you will always say, of course Mykonos is better.

To me, I think Mykonos is just as beautiful as Ibiza. But personally I would say the parties and clubs in Ibiza are better. That’s not to say that the ones In Mykonos aren’t amazing.

You should definitely check out both Paradise Beach and Super Paradise Beach are hotspots during the day and at night. You can go to Scorpios or Cavo Paradiso for like an epic night out under the stars.

I loved partying on the beach and everyone there is in the same mindset. They’re probably coming from like Athens or Ios or another Greek island and they come to Mykonos to party.

If you are there during the season, which also runs similar to Ibiza during the summer between May and September. Definitely go party here and you will not regret it.

If you have the time, I would pair it with some of the other Greek islands because there’s just a different vibe on each. We went to Santorini after and it’s just such a balance between all the hectic and crazy nights out versus being really chilled on the Caldera watching Sunset.

So since personally I love partying in the summer on beaches, I’ve listed two of my favorite beach party destinations and now I’m going to dive into the cities.

Amsterdam, Netherlands

First and foremost on this cities list is Amsterdam, Netherlands.

I know when you think of Amsterdam you’re probably thinking really cute canals and historical charm, but the nightlife and the underground music scene is so, so fun.

They have the best DJs in the world, growing up DJing. I remember going to markets and you see like these eight year olds just DJing from such an early age.

I think their appreciation and understanding of music is on another level and they have really, really big venues.

They host Amsterdam Dance Event, Amsterdam Music Festival, many other festivals throughout the year. So there is something for everyone and it really attracts music lovers from all over the world.

Amsterdam really knows how to party. They know what kind of music is good music. I will say personally I just love being in giant crowds and giant events and festivals, so Amsterdam was really, really fun because I went to Amsterdam Dance Event and it was like nothing else.

The city itself is also just really liberal and progressive. If you are into house or techno, you can definitely find what you are looking for.

It’s not as showy and glitz and glam as the previous two on this list, but if you find yourself really enjoying that underground, hipster, alternative scene, Amsterdam is very, very fun.

Berlin, Germany

Next on this list is even less glitzy and glamorous than Amsterdam, but it is also one of my favorite party cities: Berlin.

And Berlin, Germany is truly a city that never sleeps. It is known for its incredible techno scene, so if you are a techno lover, then this is for you.

If you want to party for days on end at a club, and their clubs are world renowned. They have like the best sound systems, the best DJs. If you really just don’t want to sleep, then I would recommend visiting Berlin.

It is really alternative, and so if you are looking for like a very immersive experience that’s truly out of this world, you want to kind of just lose your mind in the music and in one venue for days on end you can do so in Berlin.

Obviously the city itself has so much history, so much culture. I love what it’s grown into.

Beware though, I know a few of my friends who just like get so sucked into the party scene because it really can suck you in hard and you lose track of what day of the week it is like what you’re doing with your life.

If you are looking for a good party, check out Berlin. The clubs I recommend are Berghain, Watergate, Tresor, another city where you start partying very, very late and you party until the next day.

London, England

Okay, next on this list is London, England. London has everything. I see it kind of as like the European New York City.

You can find really upscale bars and rooftops and clubs in Soho to live music venues in Camden, so there’s always something happening or you can just find yourself in a hole in the wall pub somewhere.

There are really big clubs that bring in lots of big DJs and I would say each area of London has its own vibe and its own way of partying. So almost like their own unique party scene, whatever you’re looking for.

London is massive. You will find a way of partying that you really enjoy. So the good news about London is you have choice.

Personally, when I went, I went to one of the bigger clubs, I saw one of my favorite DJs and it was just really, really fun. And since then I’ve been to many rooftop bars.

It’s always such a fun time in London.

The Yacht Week, Croatia

Okay, and last but not least, I am going to include a runner up. It’s not a city, but If you are looking to party in Europe, one of the best parties I’ve dedicated a week, almost like 10 days of my life to was the Yacht Week in Croatia.

It’s a floating festival basically where you rent a yacht with your best friends and you sail along the Croatian coastline. And there are so many other yachts, I want to say like 50 to 60 other yachts with people from all over the world.

Everyone is partying and you get to party at exclusive island venues. When you all dock, there are themes like white parties and you can bring different floaties.

It’s really a one of a kind experience that just combines like adventure, beautiful scenery and unforgettable parties. I know the Yacht week also runs in like the Virgin Islands and other parts of the world, but The Yacht Week Croatia is its most iconic one in my opinion.

I would reserve your spot with your friends in advance and I would also make sure that you really don’t mind living with the people on your boat. You want to make sure they’re not strangers preferably, but I’m sure if you went alone and just joined someone else’s boat. It would also be a really fun time.

That was one of the best party weeks of my life and I don’t know if I would go back on it again because it was so intense and it’s one of those things that I’m like, I’ve been there, done it. But who knows? Maybe in a few years time I’ll want to go back and there you have it.

If you’ve enjoyed this episode or blog, I would so appreciate it if you took a screenshot and shared it to your stories so we can enlighten everyone else about where to go and party in Europe this summer!
