Danielle (52s):
Thank you guys so, so much. Hi everyone. Welcome back to The Wanderlover podcast. I’m your host, Danielle Hu. And in this episode, I just want to catch up with you guys. I feel like I haven’t shared what is happening behind the scenes of my business. What is happening with my travel plans. And it just feels like, you know, those friends who you haven’t seen in awhile, and then when you catch up, you’re like this happened and this and this and they’re like, oh my God, I had no idea. I’m feeling a little bit like that in our relationship. So I want to spend this episode and just share, share what is happening in my life and share all the ways you can work with me this month.

Danielle (1m 34s):
So as a January recap, January was very chill. It was very grounding. And I personally see it as a month that really filled my cup. I reunited with old friends, I went to Miami to visit my business partner. I interacted with my family and it was a multiple five figure month. There was no launching involved, no sales pages. And I just trusted that everything I had built in my business was going to continue serving me and making back the investments over and over. Again, very humbling, very grateful to have started the year off this way, but that’s not to say it didn’t come with a few hiccups and a few major life changes, I would say.

Danielle (2m 25s):
So if you guys have been following me on Instagram, you’ll know that after we left Rote Indonesia last year, rags and I flew back to our respective countries and the whole plan was to apply for a Portuguese temporary stay visa, which would allow us to stay in Portugal for up to a year and travel through Schengen zone visa free. This is different than the more known tourist visas, obviously, and also their di residency visas that give you a path to residency. But we didn’t want that because what that it’s a longer application process. You have to submit more requirements and you could only leave the country and reenter twice in a year.

Danielle (3m 11s):
And we really wanted the unlimited entry. So having a finance background and just being super organized when it comes to things like this, I literally printed out everything it said on the website, everything in the requirements got all of my documents together, submitted fingerprints and got my FBI background check. We went all out, making sure every single line item was checked off. All visa processing goes through a third party called V F S. And it was honestly like next to impossible to get an appointment. I had to check their website like for a week straight, just keep refreshing the page to get an available appointment at the New York city office.

Danielle (3m 53s):
And we finally got one rags is, was two days before mine and we get all of our documents ready. He takes a train to London and he calls me that morning. It was like 6:00 AM here in New York. And he was like, holy shit. They w they wouldn’t even accept my application. They said they have no idea what the visa is like, what a temporary stay visa is. And they wanted to process the residency one. And I was like, no, we don’t want that. And he was like, I almost had a fight with them because I, you know, spent so much time and energy trying to do this.

Danielle (4m 33s):
And they just told me to leave. And that was shocking. I was like, okay, let’s say calm. Right? Like we had planned to go to Portugal for a year, but if worse comes to worse, we can still go on a tourist visa and stay for 90 days and then leave to somewhere else and then go back. It’s not the end of the world, but it is a big change in our plans. So also in hindsight, I’m really grateful that his appointment was before mine. I decided I was still going to go to my appointment, but I kind of knew that maybe it wouldn’t work out if it didn’t work out for him. And I kind of felt like I didn’t want to get it if he didn’t get it, but I might as well try and see what the deal is and just make sure for myself.

Danielle (5m 20s):
And so I went to my appointment two days later and lo and behold, the lady was really nice, but she was like, I have no idea what you’re talking about. I only have the forms to process a D seven, a D two or a tourist visa. No one has ever come into our office asking for a temporary ceviche. I can contact the embassy, but I’m going to need you to wait for them to answer. Because right now I can’t do anything. And I was so confused, like being there in the office and having them tell me, like, it wasn’t a thing I waited for a while, but then I was like, they’re probably not going to respond. I’m going to go get lunch with my friend and come back.

Danielle (6m 0s):
I went back still, no response. I took screenshots of the embassy website, straight from Portugal saying how temporary stay is different than the residency visa. It gives you more access, more entries and you have access to all of Shingon. And she was like, I don’t know. I don’t have anything to process. I know it says it on the website, but we can’t do that. So there’s nothing I can do at that point. I just thanked her, never heard back, gave her my contact. She said she would contact me if she hears a response, never got a response, but at least we had closure at least rags and I both didn’t get it.

Danielle (6m 41s):
And we were able to come up with a new plan for 2022. So that was my January. And moving forward, I am officially calling February of fiery February. It has been so hectic planning, executing, sharing, launching, and I just feel the energy in this month. It is a complete 180. And that’s what I love about running this business because it gets to shift and move and be extreme, just like my personality and how I work. I live my life the way I want, I run my business the way I want, and I help others do the same in their own unique aligned way.

Danielle (7m 26s):
So February this week, I am taking my mom to Billy’s on a fam trip. For those of you who don’t know, a fam trip is a familiarization trip. Think of it as when you were an influencer and you have all of your platforms and your audience, you want to share with them recommendations and your experiences, right? Similar to how back in the day you would read a magazine or read the newspaper or hear word of mouth for all of these recommendations. But now it all moves online, which is why influencers with platforms have so much leverage when it comes to content creation and promoting, right?

Danielle (8m 7s):
And if you’re interested in learning more about this, I actually just updated the travel influencer handbook for 2022. So this is specifically, if you’re looking to become an influencer, I include sample contracts. What kind of content you share? You also have the option to download my media kit and my sample rate card. Being a content creator was one of my first ever ventures and entrepreneurship. And it just holds a place so near and dear to my heart. So if this is something you’re remotely interested in, I will link the travel influencer handbook in the episode description. Okay. So after Billy’s two days after we get back, I am flying to England to finally reunite with rags after two months, I always joke.

Danielle (8m 57s):
I’m like, we’re either long distance or with each other 24 7. There’s no in between. And it’s funny because I was just talking about extremes. And I guess this is just a trending theme in my life and business and relationships. So I’m going to go to England, going to spend some time with rags, as family, we’re going to buy a truck. And then we are going to road trip through France, through Spain, all the way to Portugal. We’re going to surf in between. And we’re going to ultimately end up in Portugal except we have to leave after 90 days.

Danielle (9m 37s):
So we’ll see, we have no long-term plans yet, but we’re still going to spend the majority of 20, 22 in Europe as planned. This is all happening in February, which is crazy fiery February. Now, what else is going on in the business? So there’s two main offers. I want to share with you this month. The first is momentum. Mastermind is open for enrollment. I’m doing things a little differently. This time around in momentum. In this cohort, I am only choosing to accept people who already have their business launched their foundations up and running.

Danielle (10m 21s):
And they already have ideas for their first offers. Maybe already have their first sale or first client, but I am no longer going to accept people who don’t know where to start or have no idea what their business is yet. And this is because at different stages of entrepreneurship in the beginning, it’s more structural and technical, right? It’s a lot about building out your online systems and also embodying who you need to be. However, when you get past that first step, when you already have assets in front of you, you need to start learning new things. And so in this round of momentum, I’m really focusing on mindset, marketing and sales.

Danielle (11m 7s):
In other words, we are going to be making a lot of money and we’re going to be impacting a lot of lives. And what’s so beautiful about bringing entrepreneurs who are committed to their business together is you get to see how other people are running their businesses, right? You get ideas, but at the same time, you realize that we all have the same struggles you get to see behind the scenes. And you’re like, whoa, I’m not the only one that feels this way. I’m also not the only one who second guesses myself, or gets imposter syndrome. And you’ll see other people in the group that you really admire. It happens to them too.

Danielle (11m 48s):
And you’re like, how can you feel that way? You’re amazing. And then you realize that is exactly how others perceive you. And so with this reflection and realization, you feel more empowered to act despite all of your fears, because if you’re telling the other person, oh my gosh, you totally can do this. Believe in yourself. Then you need to tell yourself the same thing, having the support system from not only me, but like a whole other community of like-minded entrepreneurs, that is just invaluable. And I’ve said this over and over again, you are the average of the five people you spend the most time with.

Danielle (12m 29s):
So another thing I’m doing differently in this round of momentum is instead of having 90 minute calls, I am increasing it to two hours because I’m also going to be integrating workshop style calls along with hot seat coaching. So we are going to be taking action together. I’m going to be walking you through whatever it is for the week, whether that be ads or pricing or social media strategy or Pinterest marketing or launching or filling up offers, we are going to execute on it together. And then we’re going to go around and make sure everyone feels supported in whatever they’re working on.

Danielle (13m 9s):
We are going to start off with a one-on-one goal mapping session. And in between of course you get group Voxer access. So if you’re working on something, if you want us to read over your landing page or read over your emails, we are there for you. You also have the option to upgrade to VIP, and you would get a private call with me every month. We have our own private Voxer channel and you get a private half day end of mastermind at workshop with me. So think content creation and cocktails, and just looking through everything behind the scenes, in your business. So with momentum mastermind on the sales page, you will see that you have the option to enroll, or you can also book in a breakthrough Q and a session.

Danielle (13m 58s):
If you have any questions about it, if you want to connect and just see if it is the right fit for you, feel free to book a spot on my calendar. I love hearing from you guys and learning what you’re going through, and maybe let’s tackle some limiting beliefs together. If you are an online business owner, if you’ve already started and you’re just looking to make consistent 5k months, 10 K months, if you’re launching offers, if you want to make sales and commit to that between March and June and the rest of the year, then we would love to welcome you in if you’re listening to this. And you’re like, I still don’t know which direction to take my business.

Danielle (14m 41s):
If you’re stuck in paralysis by analysis, if you have so many ideas and you just don’t know how to get started or where to get started, I promise I’m not leaving you hanging. I just have so much experience helping people through this phase and deciding what to move forward with. So I recorded a completely free 40 minute masterclass, how to start a successful online business that allows you to travel the world without getting stuck in paralysis, by analysis or needing a hundred thousand followers. This walks you through three steps in deciding what is most suitable, most aligned, where you would Excel in the online market.

Danielle (15m 26s):
So choosing that it also goes through how you can grow your audience on autopilot. So you don’t need to be posting on Instagram every single day. And you don’t only need to focus on Instagram. I teach you my online business model that I’ve just learned through trial and error, and you get it all packaged in a really action packed 40 minute session that I will also link in the episode description below. Keep in mind. This is mainly for new and aspiring coaches and creatives in the online space, just after starting so many different things in my online business journey. I truly believe that having your own brand and online business gives you the most freedom.

Danielle (16m 13s):
When you’re able to operate a hundred percent online, you’re able to travel anywhere, live anywhere, work from anywhere, and also scale your income exponentially. This wasn’t the case. When I was drop-shipping, when I was doing Amazon FBA, I still had shipping. I had overhead, I had returns. I had inventory and it was so limiting. So I personally just believe I’m living my life in the most authentic, aligned way. It’s making me so, so happy. And I just want you to have the same. So you don’t have to try everything and figure out what works best for you. If you want this freedom based lifestyle, then I think I have come up with the perfect formula, having my own social capital, having a name for myself.

Danielle (17m 5s):
It attracts opportunities like familiarization trips. It attracts opportunities and clients, and it just draws people to your message, right? And this is what I’m going to be teaching you in the 40 minute masterclass. And last but not least, if you are looking to get started right now with your online business, I have one spot left for the start, your hustle intensive. This is my private one on one coaching intensive, where we meet every single week for six weeks. And by the end, you will have your online business idea decided and all of your social channels, your website, your marketing up, ready to be filled with and customers.

Danielle (17m 51s):
This is for you. If you know, you thrive off of individualized, customized attention and direction. If this is calling your name, I’ll also link more information in the episode description, and we can set up a call to see if it’s the right fit for you at this time. Okay guys, fiery February. I told you, there is no middle ground here. Everything is there for you to take advantage of. If you’re feeling confused, there’s a masterclass for you. There’s private coaching for you. And if you are ready to hit those five figure months consistently and be surrounded by other people who are going to do the same, then I encourage you to look into momentum.

Danielle (18m 35s):
Let me know if you have any questions. This is going to be such a great month. I feel it. I know you feel it too. I will see you in the next episode. It was lovely catching up with all of you. Have an amazing week guys.
