Our European Road Trip Starts Today!

We are leaving for a 3 month adventure through the UK down to Portugal, and this episode will take you all along with us! Stopping in France, Italy, Monaco, and Spain. It’s crazy how even thinking about planning something like this a few years ago would have seemed impossible with limited vacation days and having to ask other friends to take the same amount of time off. This episode shows you what is possible with your life; if you can dream it, you can achieve it.

This week I take you along on my Euro road trip and share with you how I will be running my business while traveling. This episode is about inspiring you to see what is possible with your own online freedom based business!

Danielle (52s):
Thank you guys so, so much. Hi everyone. Welcome back to The Wanderlover podcast. I’m your host, Danielle Hu. And in this episode today, I want to share with you where we’re going in Our European Road Trip and bring all of you guys along with me. I also want to share mindset shifts that have occurred between last year and this year, just all the differences I’ve noticed in my life between a few years ago, while I was still working in corporate. And today, as we start embarking on our month long road trip through some really cool spots in Europe, one of the main things I’ve really wanted to emphasize in this episode.

Danielle (1m 35s):
And I hope you can hear it from my voice right now, how freaking excited I am for this trip, but also how impossible this trip would have been a few years ago to even conceptualize having the time, freedom, the location freedom and the financial freedom to be able to execute and live out something like this. If you’re interested in learning how to build your own successful online business, that allows you to travel the world, check out my free masterclass and the episode description that will teach you exactly how to do the same in the masterclass. You’ll learn exactly how to build your online coaching creative or service-based business that allows you to travel the world.

Danielle (2m 18s):
I will teach you how to choose your profitable online business idea that is unique and align without getting stuck in paralysis by analysis. I’ll teach you how to start the money flow in your business without needing a hundred thousand followers and how to grow your community and audience on autopilot without having to post on social media every day, this is the exact format and how I’ve built my business and how it will be running and growing even when I am traveling through Europe. So if this speaks to you, go into the episode description and register for the free masterclass. So a few weeks ago, you may have seen on my Instagram Ragz and I bought another truck and it is an English truck, which means they drive on the other side of the road.

Danielle (3m 3s):
And so the driver’s seat is on the right hand side. It’s an automatic car, which is also quite rare here in England or in Europe, but it’s automatic and it is right-hand drive. I don’t know if I’m going to be driving it, but we always had the intention that we’re going to be exploring more of Europe because since we’ve met, we’ve spent time in South America, we then went to Asia, then Hawaii. And now it just makes so much sense that we want to spend more time in Europe. After we bought the truck, we started talking about our Euro trip and Ragz was like, Hey, I have two friends that might want to join us. They live in London and I was like, let’s go. Our whole road trip is going to be around three months because that is the amount of time we’re allowed to both stay in Europe.

Danielle (3m 51s):
So after Brexit, Ragz needs to leave Europe after 90 days, they’re no longer part of the EU as an American. I also have to leave Europe after 90 days. So we might drive to Croatia. You might drive back to England. Still don’t really know yet, but for now our road trip is going to be around three months time. And the whole trip was planned only a few weeks ago in February. Everything happened in February. We didn’t have to request days off months and months in advance. We didn’t have to plan months in advance. This all happened really fast. And that was the biggest thing that I noticed because a few weeks ago, I went with all of my friends from childhood on a weekend vacation to the Poconos in Pennsylvania to go snowboarding.

Danielle (4m 38s):
And it was only Friday to Sunday. I remember thinking like, oh my gosh, no one else can take off more days. Like I’m driving so far to go to the Poconos. And it was like an amazing trip, but the freedom and flexibility, it just wasn’t there. And I couldn’t have that expectation because of the nature of all the corporate nine to five jobs that I’m obviously really familiar with. But in contrast, you know, having the freedom and flexibility to just plan out a last minute, three month long road trip, it just feels so aligned. So freeing. And of course, I’m just so grateful for my business that allows it to be possible.

Danielle (5m 23s):
And the point is, if it’s possible, for me, it is possible for you as well. It might not seem like something you can even fathom right now. But I promise if this is something that you want, believe it is possible for yourself. I quit my corporate job almost five years ago now with the belief that this was possible for me, because I saw other people doing it. And I was so committed to making it my reality. And if you continue listening to my podcast episodes, following along on Instagram, joining my communities, who you hang out with is who you become. I have this savvy way convincing people around me to think more, right?

Danielle (6m 5s):
Think outside the box, see what is possible for your life. A lot of people who hang out with me, they end up quitting their jobs. They end up starting their own businesses. And it’s just the nature of who you hang out with. So I hope you stick around if my message resonates with you. And I’m going to go ahead and share with you our itinerary for the next few weeks. So if you follow along on Instagram, you’ll know exactly where it will be going. We’re starting today, driving to London to meet up with Ragz, his two friends from childhood we’re picking them up. And our first leg of the trip is going to be from London to Val D’isère , I had to Google translate how to pronounce that.

Danielle (6m 49s):
It’s like V-A-L SPACE D-apostrophe-I-S-E with like a, not an accent, like the other way. So the accent on top is going from the top left to the bottom, right? Like, eh, R E. It is a French town in the French Alps. It borders, Italy. It is known for, of course its skiing, it’s snowboarding, beautiful, beautiful mountains. This is my first time ever in the French Alps or in the Alps in general. And I learned about this concept called Après-ski. Me trying to speak French! A P R E S S K I. And it’s this concept in Europe where after a morning of skiing, you go drink on the slopes.

Danielle (7m 34s):
There’s parties, there’s DJs, and it looks so much fun. We definitely don’t have these in the states or maybe in Colorado, but where I’ve been snowboarding and skiing around the Poconos in Vermont, I’ve never really heard of this concept before. And I’m just really excited to check it out. Ragz and I both really wanted to get back into snowboarding or for me learn snowboarding. Ragz has his own kit. He has his own gear. We’re bringing it from England and he’s going to help me shred down the slopes. Ooh, I forgot to mention what is also really cool about our drive from England down to the French Alps is that we get to go through the Euro tunnel.

Danielle (8m 16s):
So that is the underground tunnel between France, between England and France. It’s underground. I’ve heard of it. I have really no idea what to expect, but I think that’ll be a cool experience you book in your time. So we’re leaving at 1:20 PM and I think we’ll all just be in the car and they’re going to shuttle us through the tunnel. I’ll keep you posted follow along on Instagram to see what it looks like. And so once we get to friends, we’re going to pop a bottle of champagne and then we’re going to spend the next few days snowboarding and exploring, eating a lot of raclette and joining in on the appraise ski. It’s also going to be carnival when we are there.

Danielle (8m 58s):
And so I think we’re going to be able to wear a lot of masks, do our makeup or my makeup and just party and the French Alps. I am so excited if it’s anything like Brazil, carnival, probably not, but it’s going to be such a cool, unique experience. And I’m really happy that we planned it. So we’re able to experience carnival somewhere really fun. After that we are driving to Italy, which is like I said, right on the border and staying in this cozy little Airbnb in Gravere, Gravere! Spelt G R A V E R E.

Danielle (9m 39s):
It’ll be just a few hours drive. And we just want to rest of have a really cozy few nights before we continue our drive again, and also experience what it’s like in the Italian Alps, which I would assume is quite similar. But I would imagine that with the language difference, with the different culture, it’s just an experience. I really don’t know what to expect from, but I’m really excited to experience it. And that’s also what I love about talking about this trip about going on this trip is I just don’t know what to expect. These are all really new places. I’ve been to so many countries in Europe, but not these different cities. And I am just really excited to take you all along with me, enrollment for a momentum mastermind spring 2022 is now open.

Danielle (10m 27s):

Danielle (11m 8s):
We cannot wait to welcome you in and help you hit your highest income months after gravity. We are then driving to Monaco. I’ve heard a lot of mixed reviews on Monaco. Some people are like, it’s not worth going to, you should just go down to Italy. Like by the coast, other people are like, oh, it’s such a cool experience for me. I am so pumped to go to Monaco, the wealth, the yachts, the boats, like I know some people roll their eyes at that, but for me, it’s inspiring. I want to be among those people. I want to learn about a different world experiences, new countries, see what kind of lives these people lead and what kind of jobs they have.

Danielle (11m 52s):
And I want to go on a really big yacht. I think that’s just really cool and something I’ve never done before and being around that wealth excites me. And this experience also really reaffirmed that you really just need to experience things for yourself. I had people telling me it was really cool people telling me not to go. And ultimately I decide for myself, right? If I had the intention of going in the beginning, I am still going to go. I’m not going to let anyone else talk me out of my plan and talk me out of our plans because of their experiences, their perceptions of a city. And so in the future, when you’re doing your own trip planning, go with your gut, go with whatever, spoke to you first. Danielle (12m 36s):
And unless there is like, you know, a really valid reason, not based on perceptions of a place to not go. I always believe that you should, to what your heart tells you. We’re staying a few nights in Monaco going to check out the casino, go to Monte Carlo. We have a really central Airbnb and we’re staying in Airbnbs for all of these places, by the way. So cute. So queen I think the hospitality in many of these places are just top-notch after Monaco, we’re going to be driving west to the coast of France, where it’s going to be surf season. So I plan on buying another long board and I have my wetsuit with me and we’re going to just be surfing for a week or two and high score.

Danielle (13m 22s):
Be it it’s. And Ragz mentioned this town called capita tone. We don’t have Airbnb’s book there yet, but I have a feeling that I might really like it. We might spend an extended period of time there. We don’t know yet, but that is the plan we’re going to go to the coast then had to send Sebastian in Spain, where they have really good food and cheese cake it’s bass country. And then after that, we will be ending our trip in a set-up in Portugal. That’s where we were originally planning to go, how we were like, wait, instead of just going straight there, let’s stop at a bunch of places between here and the UK and Portugal. So that is our road trip.

Danielle (14m 2s):
And as you can see, I didn’t have to request for vacation days. I didn’t have to plan months in advance. I remember when I used to have to like coordinate my long weekends with when I had vacation. So I would either take an extended vacation or plan trips only sometimes of the year. There’s really no limits to our adventure except for our visas. And I’ll be able to work in the UK and France and Italy and Monaco and Spain, Portugal. My business is still growing and I really just don’t have to feel guilty about taking this trip at all because it is part of my brand.

Danielle (14m 46s):
It is so aligned and I’m just really happy to be at the place where I am now. And I hope that you guys are able to see what is possible for your lives as well. The other kind of mindset shifts I had to really focus on and hone in on the past few years as an entrepreneur is to give yourself permission, to take time off in your business and enjoy the fruits of your labor. If you’re planning to quit your job, I hope that as soon as you quit your job, you’re able to take a trip for yourself and enjoy that decision instead of self-sabotaging instead of giving it so many different criteria that you have to meet before, you can start really enjoying your freedom, treat yourself right, give yourself permission to enjoy life without having any limitations without guilt, tripping yourself.

Danielle (15m 41s):
If you join any of my programs, you’ll know that I’ll always encourage you. Week after week after week to celebrate every single one of your wins to congratulate yourself, to treat yourself. Sometimes I’ll just buy myself, you know, a nice dinner. Sometimes I’ll buy myself a nice plane ticket. Anything that makes you light up, you deserve it all again. Time, freedom, location, freedom, financial freedom, starting your online business will give you all of these. It is just the inevitable path of doing something that is aligned, doing something that is most suited for the type of lifestyle that you want, the impact that you want. So if you’re curious to learn more, check out my free master class, how to build a successful online business that allows you to travel the world.

Danielle (16m 27s):
If you want to get started guys follow along on Instagram. So excited to go on this trip. So excited to take you all with me. If you can dream it, you can achieve it. I hope you all have a fantastic week and I’ll see you in the next episode.
