Welcome to the final episode of 2022, and it’s time to reflect on the past year and start planning for the next one. One powerful tool for doing this is vision boarding, where you can visualize and plan out your goals and dreams for the upcoming year. In this episode, we’ll dive into why vision boarding is important for entrepreneurs and how it can help you track your progress and see how far you’ve come.
The Power of Vision Boarding
Have you ever set a goal for yourself or your business and had no idea how you were going to achieve it? That’s okay! The beauty of vision boarding is that you don’t have to know the exact steps to take to make your dreams a reality. All you need to do is set the intention and trust that the universe will conspire to help you achieve it.
To see the power of vision boarding in action, let’s look back at the Wanderlover community. Some of you may have posted in our Facebook group about your goals for the year, like traveling full-time, quitting your job, or making five figures a month. When you first created your vision board, you probably had no idea how it would all play out. But now, looking back, you can see what has come true and what hasn’t, and reflect on how your life and business have progressed.
Reflecting on the Past Year
Think back to January 1st, 2022. Where were you? What was your business like? What did your life look like? And now, fast forward to the end of the year. What has changed? What have you learned? These reflections can be incredibly powerful as you plan for the future.
For example, I remember being in New York at the beginning of the year, and I had no idea I would be going on a Euro trip, living in France and Portugal, and skiing in the Alps. I didn’t know I would fall in love with Batukaras, Indonesia and spend months there, or that I would learn how to hang 10 on a surfboard. And my business exceeded my expectations in terms of growth and scale. It’s amazing to see how much can change in just one year.
Moving Forward
Now that we’ve reflected on the past year, it’s time to start vision boarding for the next one. What do you want to achieve in your personal life and business? What goals do you want to set? And with the new knowledge and experience you’ve gained, what will you focus on going forward?
Vision Boarding vs Goal Mapping
When it comes to planning and achieving our goals, there are two main techniques that are often used: vision boarding and goal mapping. So what’s the difference between these two approaches?
Vision boarding is a visual representation of our goals and aspirations. This can be in the form of a physical board that we hang on our wall or a digital version that we set as our desktop or phone wallpaper. The idea is to tap into the subconscious and constantly remind ourselves of what we want to achieve. When we look at our vision board, it should evoke feelings of inspiration, creativity, drive, and ambition. By constantly focusing on what we want, we are more likely to attract it into our lives.
On the other hand, goal mapping is the strategic plan for how we will make our vision a reality. It involves defining the actions we need to take, the things we need to learn, and the people we need to learn from in order to achieve our goals. Goal mapping helps us turn our vision board into a tangible plan of action.
So which approach is best for you? It really depends on your personal preferences and style. If you enjoy hands-on activities, a physical vision board may be a good option. If you are always on the go, a digital version may be more convenient. Ultimately, the important thing is to take the time to sit down and think about what you want to achieve in the next year and how you will make it happen.
Creating a Vision Board for Success
Vision boarding is a powerful tool for entrepreneurs to set their intentions for the year and bring their dreams to life. It’s a visual representation of what you want to achieve and can be a great source of inspiration and motivation as you work towards your goals.
But what is the difference between vision boarding and goal mapping? A vision board is a visual representation of your dreams and goals, something you can look at every day to keep you focused on what you want to achieve. Goal mapping, on the other hand, is the strategy behind making those visions a reality. It’s about figuring out the steps you need to take to get there and defining the actions you need to take, the things you need to learn, and the people you need to learn from.
So how do you create a vision board? First, start by writing down a phrase that captures the feeling of what you want to achieve in the next year. This could be something like “abundant,” “limitless,” or “expansive.” Next, write down three adjectives that capture the emotions you want to feel in the next year. These should be words that make you feel empowered and on top of the world.
The rest of the board should be a combination of words and images. Find images that represent the things you want to manifest in your life, whether that’s a certain amount of money, a certain place you want to travel to, or the type of people you want to attract into your life. Write down the specific things you want to achieve in the next year, like how much money you want to make, how many clients you want to work with, and what kind of products or services you
How To Set Goals and Achieve Them As an Entrepreneur
Goal setting is a crucial part of the success journey for any entrepreneur. By setting clear, specific goals and creating a plan to achieve them, you can stay focused and motivated to achieve your desired outcomes. Here is a step-by-step guide to help you set and achieve your goals as an entrepreneur:
Step 1: Identify Your Goals
Before you start setting goals, it’s essential to identify what you want to achieve. Take some time to reflect on your vision for your business and your life. Consider what success means to you and what you want to accomplish. Write down your goals in a clear and specific way.
Step 2: Break Your Goals Into Smaller, Achievable Tasks
Once you have identified your goals, it’s time to break them down into smaller, more manageable tasks. This will help you make progress consistently and stay motivated. For example, if your goal is to double your revenue in the next six months, you can break it down into smaller goals such as increasing your sales by 10% each month or launching a new product.
Step 3: Create a Plan
Now that you have identified your goals and broken them down into smaller tasks, it’s time to create a plan. This plan should include specific actions you need to take to achieve your goals. Consider what resources you need, what deadlines you need to meet, and who you need to work with to make progress.
Step 4: Take Action
The most crucial step in achieving your goals is taking consistent action. Make a commitment to yourself to work on your goals every day, even if it’s just for a few minutes. Track your progress, and make adjustments as needed. Remember that progress takes time, so be patient and stay focused.
Step 5: Celebrate Your Success
Finally, don’t forget to celebrate your successes along the way. Whether it’s reaching a smaller milestone or achieving your ultimate goal, it’s important to take a moment to recognize your hard work and accomplishments. This will help keep you motivated and inspired to continue working towards your goals.
Conclusion
Ask yourself, what can you do to have the greatest chance of success for everything on your vision board, not only business, not only travel. I want you to holistically look at your life, assess what you wanna call in, and really think it’s not either or. That’s a big, big one. You get to have it all. You honestly get to have everything you put down. You don’t have to feel bad. You don’t have to feel like you’re taking too much from the world that you can only, you know, have love, but not have success, or only have success, and you have to suffer in your friendships.
None of that. We get to have it all. If you need help with this, if you wanna talk it over with someone, feel free to post your vision board questions in our free Facebook group where you’ll get feedback. If you want to DM me on Instagram as well, I’m always happy to help you out. My dms are always open, and if you want me to share your vision board, because this was a really life changing episode for you, I will happily, happily do that too and hold you to it.
